The Climate Change Crisis: what should we believe?

How big is the crisis, how damaging and what needs to be done?

  • What does the science tell us?  – Sir John Houghton
  • Why should we care, as people & as Christians? – Dr John Weaver
  • Helping the world’s poor face the crisis?  – Richard Weaver

This topical and cutting edge event will face the issues head on.  Sir John Houghton, Dr John Weaver and Richard Weaver will address the science, address some of the skeptics’ questions, summarise the main impacts, and what is needed to mitigate climate chnage and present the Christian context and responsibility to care for the Earth and care for the poor.

Sir John will address the science, Dr John Weaver the theology and Richard Weaver, of TEAR Fund, will address the impact on the poor, and what can be done to assist them to adapt and develop in sustainable ways.  The session will challenge churches in Wales to partner together in practical action linked with churches in the third world.
